What is the purpose of Eject?
The Eject Helmet Removal System is the only tool that can quickly
and safely remove a crash victim’s helmet,
where head or neck injury is suspected. It does so without adding
any pressure or traction to the neck or spine
which can cause secondary spinal injuries to the downed rider/driver.
Will the Eject® Helmet Removal System work in any type of helmet?
Yes, Eject can be easily and quickly installed in any type of
racing helmet without altering the fit or feel of the
helmet. Eject fits easily beneath the helmet liner and the
inflation tube can be quickly placed into its proper
position without tools or helmet modifications.
Can anyone install the Eject Helmet Removal System?
Special training is not required. Instructions are provided within
each Eject Helmet Removal System package
when purchased. Thorough video instructions are also available
on-line at ejectsafety.com. It is recommended that
Eject be installed by someone 18 years, or older.
Does a helmet require any modification to install Eject?
If the helmet has a removable inner liner, you just temporarily
remove it for installation and Eject mounts to the top
inside of the helmet with no modifications. If the helmet liner
is glued inside, you will have to cut a small slit in the
top of the liner to slide the Eject System in and also at the
bottom left side so you can slide the inflator tube out of
the helmet. This will not affect the fit or feel of the helmet.
Once installed, is it permanent?
No, Eject is applied with a double stick tape so it is easily
peeled off of the inside of the helmet.
Can it be transferred to another helmet once installed?
Eject can easily be transferred to another helmet. Simply peel
out the unit from the old helmet and apply it into
the new helmet in the same place. If the adhesive no longer
sticks, you can use a few dabs of super glue or
double stick tape.
Can it be reused once it has been activated and inflated?
No, once the Eject System has been used the system is not made
to be re-used. If the Eject System has been
inflated, the helmet should be examined by a professional to
assess the damage before the helmet is used again.
